This makes a whole lot of sense to relocate it to encompass all the new population in Humber bay shores and the Park Lawn area. Combine it with a dedicated streetcar right of way and we could have functional transit for relatively cheap.
Any updates on this yet?
Hi Tom,
Unfortunately Metrolinx did their transportation modelling determined that the passenger loadings for a Park Lawn GO station don’t warrant a station there in the next 10 years. However SETAC is involved with the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) for the Humber Bay Shores area, which will investigate the need for this GO station over a longer time span.
By the way, the TMP public meetings will be held in May and June.
Mike
Relocation of the Humber Loop is one of the studies being looked at as part of the TMP (Park Lawn Lakeshore Transportation Master Plan).
As Mike mentioned, the second round of community consultations on the TMP will be happening soon.
